I had been to the hospital as part of a Halloween tour that I loved, but went back to see what it was like during the day. The museum is small, only 4 rooms, but lots of interesting info from our excellent tour guide. History in the first two rooms, the hospital ward was grisly enough to entertain any child,...

We went by not once, but 4 different days. We were told that we had missed the tour by several minutes on 3 of the days. On the last try we were told they didn't have change and the credit card machine was not working. So we decided to go to lunch and get change. We get back an hour...

Great tour- both educational and entertaining. The guides who are dressed in period costumes are knowledgeable and quite friendly. Tour lasts about 45 minutes but seems to fly by because its very interesting. 5 rooms are made up to recreate an old hospital. Neat to see how medicine was done in old Spanish Florida.

I found it surprising that doctors had to study several years to receive a license even though there wasn't that much they could do to actually cure people. They have great...

Great tour and explanation of the old medical methods and medicines. What sacred me was the "finger cuff." No antibiotics back then, so if you got an infection in your finger, they just chopped it off........(gulp)

If it was free it would be OK. For $6 you see a couple of replicated rooms and listen to a 10 minute discourse on New World Spanish herbal medicine and another 10 minutes on the types of surgeries they performed.
