pensacola zoo is great, and when they re did it after the hurricane, even better, i really need to get a season pass, i take my grandchildren there at least, 8 times a year, the bird cage feeding is great, but it is all worth it.

I have been to a couple other ZOOS in my life but this was different. Small atmosphere I didn't even think I was in the right place at first. I pulled up in the parking lot and expected to be disappointed. This zoo it awesome. You can feed the animals not just barn animals but giraffes and camels among other...

Most zoos are not in a sub-tropical, seashore location. This zoo is.
It is worth the trip because it's not the same old thing. The open areas where the larger animals are kept, are in a natural, native Florida environment.
A good portion of The Zoo is on an elevated walk way. The animals walk underneath you much of the...

I loved the little train ride through the zoo! Anyone can ride. The cafe' had very few menu items. Maybe 4 different items. I recommend getting the animal food and bird food sticks at the gift shop. Overall, I absolutely loved it!
This is a nice little zoo that was in danger of shutting down. Especially after being devastated by one of the hurricanes that hit the area. Not sure how they are doing now, I believe they have new owners, but when I visited, they were still a nice little zoo that needs more support! I would definitely recommend a visit...

Any zoo is a good zoo when you have kids. This zoo allows more feeding and hands on than any other zoo I've visited. Be sure and buy a Budgie stick to feed the birds. Also, spend some time with the playful monkeys and otters.
The Gulf Breeze Zoo is a medium size facility featuring hundreds of animals from around the world! We took the 15 minute narrated train ride to get up close to the animals.
We've visited many times. Great place to bring small children because they can get up close to a number of animals. Especially interesting to see reaction of youngsters when Nast giraffe tongue takes food from their hand, yuck!
My wife and I visited for the first time and were very impressed. Alot of the animals roam freely from one area to another. Yes some of the animals are in restricted older areas but some are also in the newer bigger zoos. Also had some unusual animals that we had never seen before. A little expensive but definitely worth...
