As the tour guide said, you wouldn't think that someone like John Rockefeller would live in such a small place. Well, it really wasn't small for average folks like me but too him it would be considered small. All in all it takes about 45 minutes to tour the home which was a great way to spend some time. More

The once summer home for the Rockafeller's was saved from ruins and site some wonderful history of the early 1900's. Just a small museum but wonderful pictures and artifacts of the times and from the Rockafeller's.We took a bus tour promoted by the historical society (highly recommended to take) of the Ormond area which started from here. We found The Casements easily - located on a gorgeous spot on the Halifax River by the bridge. The docents were welcoming and enthusiastic as well as very informative. The information about John D. Rockefeller was interesting - and made the house "come alive". Parking was convenient. After viewing the house, we walked through a lovely park on the river... More
