My favorite springs, not only because I love close by but it's got everything. Winter brings in the manatee's by the hundreds and in summer it's the best place to cool off. They have really fixed it up lately with the addition of more tables and showers as well. Snack bar and bathrooms are also available. More

This is my favorite place to bring friends to observe Manatees (season Mid November thru March. The Water is fairly clear. There is a wheelchair acessable boardwalk. We would get there about 9:30 to 10 (park hours 8 am to sundown all year) Walk from the start of the boardwalk to the Spring Boil , Besides Manatees there are Gators,... More

Blue Springs is very quiet for the most part and plenty of nature ti see. The swimming area is very nice with access to the springs area. Note: the water is on the cold side and takes some getting used too. More

If you like seeing the manatees in their natural environment, this is a must see place to visit when the temps in FLorida are chilly. The manatee seek 72 degree water when the St. Johns river falls below that temp. It's a real nice day trip. You can picnic or pick up food there. Dining is casual and reasonable. We... More

This state park had beautiful scenery. Lots of facts regarding the history. We went when the manatees were already gone so we got to swim in the spring. We all loved the tubing. The water was cold but after the initial shock it felt great....refreshing. It was a little more packed than any other state parks we have been to... More

If you like the outdoors, kayaking, tubing and diving, this place is not to be missed. Over 100 million gallons of fresh water comes out of the spring each day. You can walk upstream to the lagoon where it comes out, and dive down into the cavern below at the source. More

Family visiting had great time at Blue Springs in the winter, watching the Manatees. The water is so clear you can see garr and bass and other fish swimming by. We walkways are built sturdy and jutting out over the water. Great Photos. More

Blue Spring State Park: This is one of my favorite places in the world! It is beautiful and so peaceful. Wildlife abounds...alligators, snakes, many birds, and manatees. The park is very safe...no worries about unwanted wildlife encounters as long as you follow the signs. Make sure to log on to the parks' manatee-cam and watch the live feed - it... More

The park is very beautiful and walking along the boardwalk is spectacular. The only reason I did not give it an excellent rating is that the playground for the younger children is at the opposite end from where the swimming area is, which means they swim and then you walk down to the playground for them to play. These areas... More
