This is a circular boarded walk through the dunes at north New Smyrna beach. It overlooks the lighthouse on the opposite side of the channel. There are lovely little beaches hidden away on the bay side and toilet facilities at the car park where you start/finish. Only about 1 1/2 miles long.

Nice walk on a 1.5 mile boardwalk around a low dune area with many beach access points. No shade so do early or late in the day, and not on a hot day. $5 fee is a good value.

The people and dogs all have a blast. if you want to not be with the dogs, still a great place for people. The boardwalk is such a pleasant walk to see what wildlife might be seen. Great Place! So relaxing.

6-8 foot wide slightly raised boardwalk through the dunes with rest stations inbetween - Thank goodness! It was VERY hot with the bright sun reflecting off the sand; bring water, we did. My sister and brother-in-law are hikers and wanted to go, they are in better shape than me - I've had a few knee surgeries and it was tough... More

This is a cool place to take your dog. The only con is that many people fail to keep their dogs leased. The pro is that their is an outstanding rinse station with a hose to get all that sand off. There are plenty of benches along the paths to rest and the dogs get to go down to the... More

The area where there are no cars is wonderful. But the whole portion of the beach that runs along the ocean side has cars zipping up and down it. HORRIBLE BEACH EXPERIENCE.

Great walk around the river and to the ocean. We saw turtles, pelicans, collected many shells and had a stretch of beach nearly to ourselves.

A mile and a half boardwalk circuit that goes through coastal vegatation, with openings out to the beach. Relaxing just for the walk, or bring some food and a blanket and bask on the beach and watch the surfers. $5.00 charge to park.

Beautiful quiet beach. Underpopulated and clean. Dunes are protected, park rangers are helpful and friendly. A beautiful boardwalk guides you from the parking lot to the ocean. Bathrooms are very clean dogs are allowed!

Beautiful nature trail features a wooden deck boardwalk that covers about 1 1/2 miles with periodic steps out to the beach. Nice pavilion and clean restrooms near parking lot (trail maps located here). Awesome shell selection on the ocean inlet with a lighthouse to view/photograph. Got some nice pics of a large blue heron. Be sure to use bug spray!... More
