If you are an outdoor enthusiast you will enjoy this sanctuary. Bring your camera and a tripod if you have one as you will see wildlife. The 2.25 mile boardwalk is wonderful and the vegetation, the 400-500 year old cypress trees, and the groves of younger trees are magnificent. Most of the surrounding areas have been logged but the Audubon society has done a good job of preserving this area for future generations. This is a great place to visit if you like critters native to Florida. Enjoy the boardwalks but do bring you sunscreen, shades,and bug spray. Have a wonderful time!! More
