There simply isn't much here for visitors -- it's mostly for scholars. And the advertising struggles to do justice to the collection -- it's very sophisticated, but a it indescribable. I was expecting a very personal collection about modernism, heavy on decorative arts. We were there in-between major exhibits but the permanent collection is very cool. I really like the concept they have going. It stands out from most other art museums. The building itself is also really beautiful. Tip: The museum is free on Fridays from 6-9.

This was a real highlight of our trip. Interesting building in and of itself with a terrific and varied collection. The permanent display is full of treasures, and we caught a knockout exhibit of Wiener Werkstatte postcards. Our whole family enjoyed spending a morning there. Wonderful gift shop/bookstore and cafe, too!

Just a museum with not too much to see. We were expecting more but it killed an hour without leaving much of an impression but we are not big on the arts.

Like no other museum I've ever visited. It's a true gem in South Beach, and well worth an afternoon. It's intriguing and not at all "stuffy" as many museums can be. Highly recommended.

I was expecting the museum to be a bit more entertaining. The place is very small. The one positive is that on Friday nights between 6-9 it's free. So I really shouldn't complain. So if you have nothing to do on south beach (yah right) hit up the museum.

This is a wonderful and most interesting museum to visit. There are four(4) floor of exhibits. Start at the top floor and work your way down. Th first floor has a great gift shop which also includes a cafe with comfortable seating areas. Check their website as they have many special exhibits, performances & film/discussions. So worth checking it out.

A well laid out museum over 7 floors. Some floors were closed. It is certainly different and worth a visit if you are interested in how we have developed ove rthe last 150 years
