Check the tide chart when planning your trip. The inlet is frequented by Manatee during high tide. Where you pay for that experience elsewhere, at Sabastian they just show up to say hi. You want to see dolphins? manatees? turtles? rays? surfers? boats? tropical plants? sea birds? and more? This is the place! The whole area is surprisingly quiet--not full of rowdy tourists, disrespectful drivers, etc. We were there for a week and could've stayed indefinitely. LOVED IT! More
