What attracted me was the thought of kayaking for the first time and doing it with a skilled guide through the Everglades. This is a beautiful park and should not be missed. More

We went with 8/10 year olds who are used to museums and love animals. I had researched it and specifically went on a "touchtank" day. We have pictures of them holding conchs, horseshoe crabs, starfish etc. The volunteer guide did extremely well with the ?10 kids that were there. Everyone got a turn to touch/hold at whatever level they were... More

It was a nice facility but not much to see or do (we did not take a tour). The trails were not especially interesting and the manatees were not around when we were there. Not bad for smaller childern as they had some hand-on stuff as well. More

The center has a museum section as well as a guided tour of a walking trail. The museum section is well aimed for the whole family and was good for about 30-60 minutes depending on how much of the display information you read. They had a photography exhibit as well and some of the pictures were quite spectacular. The walking... More

We stopped here for the first time and found it very enjoyable. Anyone bothered by the $5 fee should keep in mind this is not an amusement park and each dollar helps maintain it. The indoor facility offers some interesting exhibits and the outdoor trail makes for a pleasant walk. Keep in mind you are not likely to see a... More

Our teenager thought the outside trails were lame (short, uninteresting, unmarked). The website talked about kayak tours. When we arrived we were told that they only went out on Tuesdays and Thursdays (we were there on Wednesday). They have a nice gift shop and small museum, but with all of the attractions in this area of Florida, this should not... More

The guides were outstanding:Susan and Julie. Susan was the naturalist who knew so much about the plants and animals of the area. She was very interesting as she shared her knowlege with the group. Julie was the volunteer who assisted anyone having kayak difficulties. No kayaking experience needed. Julie brought up the rear so no one got left behind. It... More
