A great way )along with a visit to the Welcome Centre and Shingle Creek) to get to see some of the history of the area !

Very interesting pioneer buildings in a rural setting, but very close to Rt 192. Just discovered this year, after visiting Kissimmee for 20 years. It takes about an hour to see everything. We had a very nice guided tour. Something nice to do other than theme parks.

Saw the sign on 192 and turned to visit it - we were eventually approached by a young lady who had been smoking a cigarette and chatting to another female. When she was ready she approached us and directed us to the General Store which was also the start of the tour. This wooden building and the other four buildings... More

We were very disappointed to hear that your visit was not top notch while you were at our facility. If this happened to us, we too would be dismayed! We are proud of our organization and strive to instruct our guides to be professional, knowledgeable and courteous at all times. We sincerely apologize to you and thank you for sharing... More

This will take you about an hour to tour with the guide. She was a delight and very informative. Plus she learned a few things that she didn't know! A great place to walk around and learn about the past.

First of all the museum is now located on Irlo Bronson Parkway a few minutes from the Pioneer Village. It just opened last summer and has lots of interesting displays. It is free, although they accept donations. The pioneer village is on North Bass Road. It costs $5 for adults and $2 for children 6 to 12. You receive a... More

Just a couple of minutes from 192 is the Museum and Pioneer Village on Bass Road. Allow up to a couple of hours to get a real feel for the old Florida. There is a nice smaller collection of well kept artifacts and a nice smaller pioneer village. Once a month they hold a very casual Bluegrass Music jam session... More

Relaxing area with self guided tour. Wish they had had more to see. A visit is less than an hour, but walk over to the nature preserve across the street for a relaxing walk.

We viewed this attraction during their Pioneer Day this past weekend. Glad we went while other activities were happening. The buildings themself are well preserved, and offer a good assortment of the "Cracker" lifestyle from years past. However, the grounds are very small, and once you see the houses, that's about all there is to see. There are more expansive... More
