There was no cost and you just pull into the back of the library. The view was okay as far as the water goes, it was a little green in color due to it being further back off the main water. Little beach right there. I was there in the middle of the week so it was very quiet.

this is more like a lagoon, not a beach. Its not what you are looking for when you think of Florida, not that the Keys have good beaches, but this one is pretty lame.

Great little park to sit under a tree and watch the boats on the canal .It is quiet and peaceful and not crowded. You can swim and snorkel but no fishing.

I don't get how people said there was good snorkling because there isn't. My kids liked it but its literally wedged between two marinas so there are boats going through constantly. Made me nervous for my children's safety. Nice little playground, and it's free.

A playground for the kids, a beach with clean clear water - great for snorkling - but watch the current and the boats from the marina next door. Just behind the library.

If you don't want to go to Anne's or Sombrero then this little hideaway behind the library will do it for kids! No sand but easy access into the water, and a bathroom, water to drink and a covered picnic area on a nice lawn sloping down. Lots of playground equipment to keep them occupied while you catch some sun!

Keep it quiet. This perfect little spot works for locals and for visitors. Ride your bike, dip your feet in the water, swing high, and sit for a quiet picnic in the grass. It's free, clean, safe - just like the library.

Cute and convenient place to swim. Lots of fish... Adjacent to a play area for children. Not classy, but quiet.

If you don't want to snorkel with 10 zillion tourists, this is the place. It's one of the few sandy beach spots where you can relax, snorkel or get a sunburn like I did.
