I have had some incredible experiences with glass-bottom boats and submaries in the Great Barrier Reef. This is the opposite. You see virtually nothing. Maybe a couple of shadows of corals and sponges. You might also see a fish swim by. That is about it. More

Don't get confused. The Discovery Tour went out of business awhile ago but Fury, which operates several kinds of water adventures, also has a similar Glass Bottom boat tour. This was a great trip, nice trip to the reef and then a really interesting half hour on the reef. Listen to the really interesting talk (unlike many rude people on our trip....one girl went to sleep on a bench!!) by the guide....fascinating facts. Not cheap but worth it. More
