This is a South Dade institution! You must stop by! We also walk away with jars of fresh salsa, jellies, breads (strawberry or banana) and the ice cream is smooth and heavenly. They have a new patio/garden area where you can eat in now, love it! Bring the kids and make an afternoon of visiting Burr's. And don't leave empty... More

We have been going to Burr Berry's for years. It has been in South Dade since 1965. The Burr family keeps adding new wonderful items to their location. Nice break if traveling south and need a refreshing shake. About a mile west from exit 11 (216 st) from turnpike south. On the same road to Monkey Jungle. More

We happened upon this place as we were driving back from an airboat ride (don't ask how we got here). SOOOO glad we stopped. 3 of us got strawberry shakes and 1 key lime pie shake. They have delicious shakes. So delicious we actually considered driving back an hour another day during our vacation to go back. Must stop here... More

If you want those strawberries (in season for snowbirds and winter tourists) to be picture perfect, then get down to Burr's Berry Farm, part of the RedlandRiot (see web site of same name). These berries cost more, yes, because there are no white areas. They are not giant doubles and hollow inside. The seeds are not congregated at one green... More

I used to love driving down here to get a shake or a sundae and also to buy some berries. But the prices are too high now. More
