This is a true old Florida beach neighborhood. Quiet streets are great for an evening stroll, plus wide beaches and some great music venues. Hibiscus is always my favorite for weekend brunch and tunes, but catch the music at the Red Bar for a more exciting scene.

We drove into Grayton Beach on our way home from Fort Walton Beach and absolutely loved it! It is by far the cutest place ever. The shops were all so uniquely decorated and has the most intresting items in them!

We have stayed in Grayton Beach 3 times with young children and later with teens. We love everything about the place. There are mostly home rentals-with a few small, funky hotels. If you are looking for a beach and local area away from the tourists, Grayton Beach is a terrific place to go. The beach, of course, is beautiful, but there are also calm lakes with local wildlife and wonderful piers. You can rent bikes and also find plenty of places to eat.

Love this park. It has rare dune lakes which are protected. This is why high rises have not been built here. It is quite, not crowded. U have to pay $4 to enter the park and it is worth it.
