The scenery, the cottages, the gift shop, all made an indelible mark. We were visiting from Pennsylvania with family and even met locals form PA. A fantastic tour for all the family. Thanks you for the experience. More

The Bonnet house Museum and gardens is a worthwhile afternoon. The tour of the house is educational and quite interesting. The grounds are what I enjoyed the most. There are pathways for those who just enjoy nature. When I visited I saw birds, lizards, turtles and swans all happily in their own non disturbed environment. It was a great day!! More

A unusual place that was once the home of a famous artist and his writer wife in Ft Lauderdale. A typical example of south florida architecture, with open hallyways and verandas. More

The Bonnet House is a great way to spend your time. It's so peaceful to just sit, gaze and wonder what it must have been like to actually live on such an estate. The guide provides great information, and you actually get to see things "as they were" in the previous years. You learn the history of the people who... More

If you're on Fort Lauderdale Beach, you should go see this. Beautiful home and gardens, and I understand it's maintained almost exactly the way it was when it was the only home on the beach. Imagine being all by yourself on that great beach. More

My husband and I consulted Trip Advisor for things to do during our first stay in Fort Lauderdale and happened on the Bonnet House. Spent about two hours touring the plantation style house and grounds built by Frederic Bartlett, an arist from Chicago. Well worth the admission (about $20 per person). Filled with art works by the Bartletts and many... More

Our visit to the Bonnet House was one of the most enjoyable days we've spent on our vacation in south Florida. This is not only because it is so key to the history of Ft Lauderdale, but also because every single person we met who was connected to the house was so pleasant and informative. The fascinating history of the... More
