We enjoyed the tour because it was educative and we saw a lot of wildlife, such as birds and dolphins. It does not replace an airboot tour because of the completely different kind of water and wildlife.

Chad, a very knowledgeable well mannered tour guide is the man to go to when in the everglades. This man knew all of the information, from the smallest birds, to the largest alligators, he knew everything about them and I would highly recommend the trip for anyone who has adventure in them.
Our group of eight arrived at the park and after much discussion decided to take the tour at $40.00 per person. We had to be split up into two different boats because they only allow six passengers per boat. Our captain was Steve. We left the dock and headed for the mangroves. We stopped along the way and Steve pointed...

It was about a half hour each way on our bus from the cruise ship terminal. Our tour guide gave us a running history of Florida which certainly passed the time. Honestly, the commentary was almost as good as the airboat ride. When we arrived we were given an airboat ride, gator show, and had the option to get a...

We came in the off season and lucked out as the only 2 guests on the boat (which can handle up to 6). I was very happy that they didn't try to reschedule us with another group of 2 that followed. Our guide was knowledgeable, gave us time to take pictures of birds and a dolphin, and the manatees came...

One occasion we were honored to see manatees as...

$32 boat trip. Guide from the Caribbean. I could only understand about 1/2 of what he was saying, heavy accent, very frustrating. He seemed to know a lot, but also seemed sarcastic and not too friendly, although not shy about asking for a tip at the end.
This was a very interesting and personal tour led by a guide who has grown up in the Everglades. We learned all about the Everglades ecosystem and got up-close-and-personal with both the vegetation and wildlife. The day was perfect, that is, sunny but not too hot. For a very reasonable price, we saw more and had more fun than we...

We visited the Everglade NP, driving in from Florida City. Best part is the first turn off, Royal Palm. The rest was more of the same and less to see. We decided to do a boat trip, mistake. Save your money and stay at Royal Palm. We tried to get a coffee before the trip, a dozen or so boat...

We took the Mangrove Wilderness Tour in April 2013.
I understand that each one has a different experience and if your kid sees a Dolphin the whole trip might be seen in a different light - and what looks as the worst thing ever become a WOW. So, I'll try to eliminate those to let the reader make an intelligent...
