We have just partnered with the Big Cypress National Preserve to run a 4 hour tour into the backcountry. Parties can get off the buggy and walk around, at their own risk, or they may stay aboard the 6 passenger buggy and view nature from a safe distance. The mornings are beautiful in the swamp and the sunsets are breath-taking. We are one of two businesses permitted in the preserve for the tours. This is new! Opened November 1, 2010.

We went on the first day of opening after the swamp had been closed for 60 days for fires. Got off to a little late start and some engine overheating, but Chris was super nice and kept his cool while getting the swamp buggy running smoothly. You could still see where the fires had burned, but most of the swamp...

We recently spent a few days in Everglades City and wanted to take a look at Big Cypress Preserve because it is so huge and unlike anything we are used to.
