Lovely site. Small but interesting museum and 12 min. video about the battle with the Seminoles. Park Ranger was very informative and willing to share. Don't miss the very old live oak out back. More

This was a great place to stop for respite, a picnic lunch and to learn a little history. We walked the trail and enjoyed the history movie. There is even a few geocaches. More

We had a great time,... More

I went to the Battlefield with my 14 year old son. There is not much to see there, yet it is a very pleasant place to visit for an hour. It tells the story of an ambush and massacre of 80 soldiers by the Seminoles, as they marched from Tampa to Ocala. Be sure to watch the short video about... More

I hope you enjoy the photo's that I have posted. I have lived in Central Florida for over 50 years, including Bushnell, this was my first time at the reenactment and I plan to attend each year from now on. It was quite a learning experience, the camps were set up so nice and the people that participated were so... More

My family and I went this past weekend to Dade Battlefield for the reenactment of the battle. I stumbled upon the information on the Florida State Parks website. It was a great day and history lesson for my boys, ages 8 and 11. There was a Seminole Indian camp and a US soldier camp. Different activities all morning leading up... More
