Nemours shows real opulence from the gilded age and beyond. Nemours is most impressive in the Spring and Summer with the gardens, fountains, and furnishings coming together. Been here 3 times in 30 years. Really takes your mind off the current state of business failure and downtrodden patches. Much more than just an ordinary change of scenery. Lawrence Weinzimer

Toured the Nemours Mansion thought it was for a Holiday Display. The mansion is a really must see. The Holiday part was ok. I would recommend this tour to visitors and to locals. It takes about 2.5 hours but it is worth every minute.

I do not want to allude to any other comments as I believe that this is an excellent visit but to give advice as to visiting, do make an appointment or physically arrive as soon as possible.
One needs to visit on a scheduled tour and as they are every hour and last a good three hours you are unable...

Bus and walking guided tour of Alfred I. duPont family opulence. Extend the day by touring the Hagley museum across the road where earlier duPont's manufactured gunpowder for more than a century with another mansion to tour.
