We made our reservation on line. The jitney bus leaves fron the Glass House Visitor Center(just across from the train station....though parking is easily available...see info. about parking permit on line). Our guide was friendly, very well informed, and welcomed questions. The site is,of course, beautiful, and one can walk around inside the house as well as in the art and sculpture... More

The tour of the Philip Johnson Glass House is unlike anything in the area. On a beautiful day, it is spectaular. There is a lot of walking, but you see many of the buildings. More

Bookings need to be made well in advance to get on the actual Tour, as it is... More

It's just what it purports to be, a glass box. It's small. It;s sparsely furnished. The tickets are expensive and hard to come by, But, if you are at all interested in the evolution of modern architecture, by all means go! I tried to get tickets days in advance and couldn't, but when I showed at the shop, someone had... More

This experience features the genius of an architect who knew how to dream big! The tour begins at the unusual gate and the outdoor "room" of white pines. The glass house is just a stroll down the lane, but remains seductively out of full view until you are about to enter. The tour guide allowed us to wander around inside... More
