I live close by. In the summertime I have a lot of visiting family and friends. When my very small boat isnt quite big enough to accomodate everyones needs i have often taken a cruise on the "Argia". There are seats available for the older folks to be comfortable. Its big enough for my biggest crowd. The crew is a... More

Went on afternoon trip with my fiancé and it was great! I am a little afraid of boats and have gotten sea sick before but went because my fiance wanted to and it was very calm water and the ride was so smooth and the crew so professional that I was never worried (even though we sailed pretty fast and... We took an afternoon cruise on the Argia, a beautiful 3-masted schooner, and while the scenery was great and the weather perfect, the crew could have done better. We started off motoring along Mystic Seaport, where one of the crew briefly described some of the old ships moored there. Then we turned around, went under the Mystic drawbridge, and motored... More

This is a schooner sail. If you are an avid sail boat person I would think they wouldn't be impressed. My husband and I did the sunset cruise in the most beautiful weather last night and we were. I am a smoker and not once on this whole excursion did I have a desire to smoke. I was in such... More

We took the sunset sail with the Argia. The crew was kind and very professional. It was quite beautiful. Mostly couples on the sunset cruise, though there was one family. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, but they do sail in the rain. Check their policies before booking. More

After the bad weather at the beginning of September we were glad to see the sun and headed for a sailing ship cruise. The boat cruised around Mystic seaport which was interesting to see from the river side; the through the bascule bridge and down the river into Fishers Sound. Then some of the sails went up and we sailed... More

Nice little trek down the river on a relaxing evening. The captain and crew were knowledgeable and genuinely interested in their work. A plus would be a longer sailing segment, most of the cruise is a humming diesel. Still, a fun trip! More

I loved our cruise on Argia! The crew was friendly, the sites were beautiful, and the ship was very nice. Unfortunately, if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have chosen to cruise on Argia. Argia is a sailing vessel and they sell a 2 hour day "sail." It turns out you can very rarely sail a boat... More
