It's no Six Flags, but for the location and price, it's a fun place. Unlimited soda, great water park, lots to do for little kids.
I have been to several Six-flags corporate meat markets where you feel like you are there for them to squeeze ever cent out of your captive self... $10 slices of pizza - a few key feature rides then a bunch of the same old whole your wallet is empty. This park has a great family feel - caring staff -... More
Fountain drinks are included in the ticket prices so you don't have to worry about being thirsty or paying crazy amounts of money for drinks. And you don't have to carry around a $15 souvenir cup!! Rides for all ages and free entertainment (live shows) when we go. Not sure if this is every day? Decent food options for sale... More
I've been to LC dozens of times over the past 25 years, and it gets better every time. We started going to Lake Compounce before the water park was installed, when it it was basically a couple of rides, a train, and a sandy beach. I recently brought my nephew there after not having been in a couple of years.... More
If you live in the NYC tri-state area, forget about the long lines and high ticket prices at Great Adventure in NJ. Go to Lake Compounce in CT instead. I went with my wife and 2 kids, ages 11 and 13, and we all had a great time. We had also gone about 4 years ago. The park is clean... More
We had a great time with the entire family. From grandparents all the way down to the grandbabies! I also appreciated the great accomodations for my husband who was bound to a wheelchair that day due to a spranged ankle which occurred the day before. Free drinks were also a pleasant surprise!
We had a lot of fun with the whole group when we went to Lake Compounce. It was a bit pricey but if it's a once in a while thing then it's not so bad. Be prepared to get wet and bring a change of clothes if you are staying into the evening.
This park has been on my bucket list for years. We went here the Sunday before Labor Day and we were so happy with the experience that we are going to buy season passes next year. They had rides for all levels of adventure. They ranged from a loop coaster to the fastest wooden roller coaster I've ever ridden ,... More
We have been taking our kids to Lake Compounce for 13 years now, and its always a great day. We used to spend half the day in the kiddie area when the kids were small, but now we split the time between the big rides and the water park. The rides are great: the Wildcat and Boulder Dash roller coasters,... More
My Wife, daughter and I went to Lake Compounce Last week (August 19th) and we had a blast. The park was clean, not too crowded and had something for everyone. My daughter is 7 years old and at first was a little tentative with some of the water rides, but after a while she was right in there enjoying herself.... More
