I loved reading about all of the town history. I couldn't believe that the building was the town hospital until the 1960s! The person at the desk was just so nice and full of knowledge. You should go!

Liked looking at the old skis, about the local mining from years ago as well as the trains that ran through the region. $5 admission is well worth it if you are into some history of places like Telluride.

For anyone wanting to learn more about the history of Telluride, this little museum is definitely worth a visit. Although a mining town with its share of saloons and brothels, Telluride had a population that was also interested in culture and society. The museum shows both sides with lots of interesting photographs and artifacts.

This is a good place to visit and it gives you a historic view of Telluride. It's small but the space has been well utilized. It covers many aspects of the town's history and the staff are very friendly. There is a $5 per person entry fee, but it is well worth it.

The Telluride Historic Museum is located in an historic building up the hill from main street. I thought it was smaller, so didn't realize how much time I would spend. Nicely done, with a lot of mining history. Great spot to learn about how hard life was way back whennnnn.

We did a "walk around" tour that was sponsor through the museum and as part of the package it included admission to the museum itself.
