Easy walk to the overlook for the falls. Lots of water from the spring snow melt. Flowers were beginning to bloom. Spend an hour here for a great sightseeing experience.
FIsh creek falls is a must for people new to steamboat. about 2 miles from Highway 40. It was a very easy walk to get to the falls. It was paved just like a nice sidewalk. For Colorado it was way easier than expected. The falls were beautiful as we visited on a nice Spring day and had great water flow. You could see snow around the falls so it made for some great photos. (Attached to...

The falls were frozen...surrounded by snow covered trees, rocks and icy stream. Apparently, locals climb the frozen falls in winter.
We were visiting in March and decided to walk to the falls. It cost $10 for a parking pass so try to only take one vehicle. The road was very well maintained to there was no problem getting to the trail head. It is a pretty easy walk down to the falls, great views throughout. When we reached the bridge...

Easy hike, beautiful scenery, close to town so it's easy to get there. You can get great photos of the Falls and climb on the rocks. Great place for both kids and adults!
Fish Creek Falls is one of our favorite spots. The falls are flowing more rapidly early in the summer season for picture taking. The hike is not for the elderly or those not in shape, and you can go as far as you like up to the second falls or further.

That's possibly true, if your wheelchair has skis instead of wheels- the paths are NOT cleared in winter. We visited the first week of April and there was a foot of snow on the sidewalks, melted off in some areas...

A Steamboat local showed me the falls this spring. The path to get there was easy. The water was rushing below the ice, so we had to be careful when following a path (a little sketchy) that lead us off the bridge and closer to the falls. I couldn't believe how gorgeous the snow was!
