Large mountain with lots of varied terrain. We stayed in the upper village and I was surprised at how dated it was, definitely needs a lot of updating, the village does not compare at all to Whistler or Tremblant. Not much night life either.They run a short gondola between the upper and lower villages but you can walk it quicker...

Long lift lines at times- some runs can be a little crowded if you are with beginners. Some cafes are overpriced and too busy but there are some well- priced alternatives if you look.

I have skied many places and Snowmass can't be beat. It's such a large mountain that it will certainly have something for everyone but its not too large to the point of overwhelming.
