We spent some time here recently and it was an enjoyable experience. A short informative video about the hatchery is worth a watch and it was quite the sight to feed those hungry trout! I'd recommend it if you have an extra 30mins in the area.

Greeted at door by helpful staff. We watched video about the hatchery and they gave us food for the fish. Kids had a ball walking around feeding them. The facility is not much to look at but it is free family fun, can't beat that
Pleasant and helpful employees.....gave us fish food to feed the fish.....showed us a 7 minute video on how they raise the fish.....very fun day!
What a great family activity! After a short, informative video you are free to tour the grounds and feed the trout in several different concrete runs. Interesting and educational. Handouts are provided for the younger folk to complete and color. I picked up a supply for the grandkids.
The quick video, q&a with the guide, and visitor's center were very informative! It's great info for someone who fishes (or eats the fish of ) Colorado. Kids loved feeding the 1000's of fish. A good 30minute-1 hr stop. Make sure to donate a few bucks!
I am an avid fly fisherman and my son (4 y/o) is getting into fishing as well. Our family went to the hatchery for a visit, combined with a walk around the neighboring Frantz Lake. A nice 2 hour outing.
The hatchery has a visitor office with displays of many kinds of trout and other fish. A 10 minute video...

Never having been to a fish hatchery, thought this would be fun/educational for the kids (age 10-16). Called in advance, got hours, stopped in, and although the place was "open" as advertised, there was no one in site for the 1.5 hours that we were there. Not a soul. The office was "open" however, and they had restrooms/and even a TV/with...
