Lookout mountain is a great place to look at the entire city of Denver. At the top of Lariat trail you can visit Wild Bill Hitchcock Museum of the Old West and after the winding road down you can visit Coors Brewery for a free beer.

This is a regular place where we visit while living in Denver. We like to take the road up through Golden and enjoy watching the para sailers who take off at the top. Peaceful, easy to get to and a treasure for Denver.

Not quite the same views as from Rocky Mountain National Park, but this is a neat place with ample parking and beautiful, pristine views along a great drive. Visit the nearby Lookout Mountain Nature Center - you won't be disappointed. This is totally worth a day trip. I would like to go back again someday.

Great view of golden and denver from the top and nice view of the front range from the road on the way up. We visited last year and had a blast. This year we went and the place has really gone down hill. Graffiti was everywhere, and coming from the city that was very disappointing. Fill up your tank and go sight seeing for the day. So much beauty to take in and memories to be made. Great views anytime of the year. I love to stop and take pictures and visit little shops in the small towns we come upon.

Such a quick elevation gives your wonderful views of the city and plains. Great to take a picnic lunch up and enjoy the views.
