Easy hikes, plenty of water pool for the kids to splash in. Nice big rocks to climb. Beware of snakes, mountain lions though when the weather gets warmer. Great views of Pikes Peak. I'd recommend this for Fall/Winter/early spring..playground is there and grills/picnic shelters for rent

First off, this IS a Colorado State Park, so you have to pay an admission fee to get in, or just buy the "Annual Pass" if you live in CO and then you can get into all the state parks for a year without having to pay every time.

Great place to take a hike, do a little climbing and enjoy a picnic. Pets enjoy it too. Be sure they are on a leash.

I have hiked this canyon many times both in the winter and summer and have always enjoyed it. The wildlife can vary from not seeing anything to seeing all what the eastern plains has to offer. Do beware of the snakes on the warm sunny days.
