It's a beautiful walk around the lake, but make sure you don't get "bullied" by the local riff raff who think they own the lake. Gorgeous at sunset. More

Want to have a day or a a lifetime of memories, visit Evergreen, Colorado and take a walk around the pristine lake. Here is where nature intermingles with family and friends. The town of Evergreen has artist galleries, restaurants, cyber coffee shops and - on occasion - entertainment. The walk around the lake is a comfort to the soul and... More

This is a great place to take out of town visitors, until they get used to the altitude. The walk around the lake is pleasant, and halfway around it is worth it to leave the trail to hit a cafe to enjoy a short break while enjoying the river flowing by. More

Morrison, at the foot of the twisty Bear Creek Canyon road that leads up to Evergreen, is the nearest far away place from Denver but Evergreen Lake is only 20 minutes further and it is specatacular. A gem of a lake surrounded by an easy walking path, it offers 4-season rewards. If you are a fisherman, canoeist, bird-watcher, walker, or... More

Great place to take the family! They do affordable ice skating in the winter and a Free summer concert series on Wednesday nights! The concerts are very fun but you have to get there a few hours early if you want to find a parking spot. More

for 7or so years, i lived in a house above E Lake to the north. we'd go out on a promontory and whack golf bawls into the lake, scaring the people out on the lake in rowboats. and every night in the winter during ice-skating season the last song they'd play on the PA would b (da dum dum DEE... There is nothing like ice skating on a real frozen lake. There was a time when only the hearty and locals would make it to the old warming house to put on skates and enjoy skating on the frozen lake. Generations have passed and now there is a great ice house to put on your skates. Well groomed ice when... More
