Excellent wine and a very friendly host (Don). We are going to Mesa Verde this fall and plan to visit the vinyard north of Cortez. It is unusual to find such exceptional wine from such a small vinyard.

We had a wine tasting at the Sutcliffe Vineyard in Cortez, Colorado. It was a wonderful experience as we had lunch with John Sutcliffe and tasted many wines. They were all incredible. We will go back for more next time we are able. Beautiful property, beautiful vines, amazing views and incredible wine!

Stopped by the tasting room to try the local vino. You can sit and sample three of the wines to taste the variety that Sutcliffe has been able to produce here in Colorado. Then you can open a bottle, sit on their patio and watch the crowds pass. Tough life in Durango. The grenache is my favorite.
