Absolutely loved this train ride, so much fun for the kids an me! We spend the night in Silverton...wish I could remember the motel, it was great.. Everything around was just beautiful! Love the mountains! Love the little shops, love that you can walk to everything. Will be returning soon!!

Hop aboard a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive that travels along the same railroad tracks that miners, cowboys and the early settlers of the Old West used over a hundred years ago. The route winds in and out of canyons and past open wilderness affording great views. The price of a ticket also includes admission to the D&SNGRR Museum and the Silverton Freight Yard Museum.

This was an amazing day spent on the train. We got an extra two hours on the train because the engine broke down. Most may see that as a bad thing, we loved it. Free drinks and time to wander the other cars. It was quite relaxing to sit back and enjoy the scenery. My 8 year old nephew has...

What a great way to spend a day in the Colorado Rockies.. This trip was everything and more than I expected. Fantastic scenery and service - go first class. It's worth every cent.
Silverton - makes you want to do it again!

comfortable ride with great mountain and river views to the old mining town of Silverton. The 2 hours in Silverton took us back to the 1800's.

The train ride really gives you the oppertunity to take in the scenery. Its slow paced and really makes you slow down. You have the option of taking the train round trip which is a full day or taking a motorcoach one way and train the other. This shortens the day.
