We visited in mid-May. Found the museum was very nicely designed, but there is a lot of walking to do between the two connected buildings. They were having an Yves St. Laurent exhibition, for which they were charging $9.00 above the regular admission. We did not go for that, as we felt it was just not worth it. The best... More

Terrific native collections. Spent a few hours and was suitably impressed. The artworks outside should not be missed either. Very interesting architectural design. An attractive place to be on a cold Denver day! More

I enjoyed the variety this museum has to offer--textile, Spanish colonial, modern, Asian, American, Pre-columbian, European--something for everyone. We saw the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit and the Madeline Albright pin exhibit as part of our visit--both very interesting and well displayed. More

Unlike many other art museums, this one is set up really well for families. They have rotating exhibits for kids that are really unique and interesting. Only downside is there are limited eating areas for the sack lunch crowd. More

Two special exhibits currently at the Denver Art Museum are the retrospective of the fashions of Yves Saint Laurent (thru 7/8/12) and the Read My Pins: The Madeline Albright Collection (thru 6/17/12). Admission fee covers access to both. The YSL exhibit takes about 1.5 hours with the audio tour. A bonus is that you can stop the audio when it... More

Terrific venue for a cold afternoon. The exhibits change frequently and there is a lot to see. Pick and choose rooms to focus on and don't miss the many special exhibits. A real downtown treat for art lovers and average consumers. Worth checking out just for the architecture! More

I had a few hours to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon, and friends suggested a visit to the museum. When I arrived, I found the Yves St. Laurent Retrospective which was a treat to behold! Beautiful clothes and presented in a very interesting way with free headsets! The DAM main building is beautiful, and I wish I had had more... More
