We were walking by this house just in time for the guided tour and found it a very interesting slice of history. More

One of the best films to learn the history of Denver and the mansion is well maintained and has an interesting tour...its the building behind the Art Museum and kind of looks like the Munsters could live there :) More

This house is steeped in history and so much local flavor.  Do yourself a favor and go.  The price is not expensive and the education you will receive by going is priceless!  Recommend going to see the Molly Brown House in the same day.  Also, if you like Byers Evans, check our the Astor House in Golden, CO too! Looking into the lives of those who lived so long ago was amazing. And the owners keep their memory alive with the way the house is kept up with furniture, etc from so many years ago. The story that was told to us on our personal our was beautiful. More

As you might already know, parking is unbearable in Denver. The parking garages were being built, but not completed yet. We were parking and walking to the State Capitol Building when we walked by this home. I thought we would stop on the way back to our car and I am so happy we did!!!!! A very comfy, warm, and... Built by the founder of Denver's now extinct newspaper, The Rocky Mountain News, the house sheltered only two families from 1883 until 1981. The second family to reside there descended from Colorado second territorial governor, John Evans (1862 - 1865). They were a family of achievers, creative and talented in many ways. Despite stories of the wild west, Colorado was... More

Went for the first tour of the day, couldnt find the entrance so asked a guy who apparently was the owner about the entrance. He pointed to a sign in the yard that was just pointing down the street that said entrance and asked "Didnt you see the sign?" Building is not clearly marked where entrance was. Place was supposed... My family, sister and her family and my parents took this tour around Christmas time. While paying we saw that they accepted the AAA discount card...thank goodness. I would hate to have paid a single cent more than we paid for this tour. Our group joined the 6-8 others already in the waiting area and then started the tour. We... More

Absolultely the best house museum! (I have been to many all over the US.) All of the furnishing are authentic not only to the period but to the family who lived there. Amazing furnishings including Tiffany and Eastlake pieces. Much detail was put in to the restoration, many times matching original wallcoverings etc. even the china and crystal are intact... More
