Wish I could have brought camera, but security is worse than goin to the airport. NO pictures allowed. No purses or fanny packs even. Tour was very interesting! Got to see them making new coins. plus tour is free, but you do have to pay to park downtown More

spent maybe an hour here. they only print coins here. Don't forget your confirmation print out, without it they won't let you (they don't have names, only the numbers). Don't bring a purse. It's nearly x ray security to get in. But interesting to see. You do need to get an appointment well in advance on line. More

besides the hassle of making a reservation 1-2 weeks ahead of time, which only allowed us to book for a 9am tour, the guards are strict in an unreasonable way. The website states electronic devices are not allowed and thus we did not bring our cellphones with us. the security guard however, gave us a hard time on the our... More

I really enjoyed the Mint tour. The tour was free and the guides were very informed and funny. Very interesting to see the production of coins. I would recommend. More

Get there about 20 minutes before your tour begins because they make you wait outside. If it is sunny, it is hot, and if it is raining, there is no shelter. There are also no bathroom facilities until you get inside (once you are inside there are very nice facilities on the second floor, where the tour begins). Do not... More

I had high hopes for this tour but was not impressed. The only thing that made it worthwhile was it was free. Tour was very short, I felt like I almost had to be put through a strip search to get in and you didnt even get a close up view of the money being made. The guide was knowledgeable... More

The Denver Mint tour requires preregistration but it is well worth the visit. The last time I took the tour they even gave out quarters! There are artifacts from the past used in coin minting, old coins to view, new coins being made right before your eyes and great stories about why the mint is in Denver. There are only... More

You can schedule this online at: http://www.usmint.gov/mint_tours/index.cfm?action=StartReservation Tour only takes about 30 minutes, but the people who work there are a HOOT!! They are loaded with facts and information on the history of the Denver Mint. More
