This was an easy one-hour drive on dirt roads 17 miles into the mountains north of Creede. Beyond the wonderful scenery, a map from the Forest Service, 304 S. Main St. in Creede, provides interesting information about old mines, towns and locations along the route, plus some history. Don't go without the map.
