Walking into the City of Ten Thousand Buddha's with a camera, is similar to a three year old walking into a candy store without parents. Free and Amazing. Give yourself some time to really mosey through the property and absorb a world unlike your own. You can walk anywhere, and the residents are very friendly as well as all the... More

On the grounds is a wonderful temple and many charming plantings and wandering peacocks. In the little modest but charming restaurant the food is so fragrant and fresh you will never miss not having meat. I suggest the eggplant and basil dish as well as the seaweed wrap and so many other wonderful choices. Very reasonable and yummy. Now if... More

I was really excited to visit this place, as it sounded really unique and interesting. I felt weird being there, like I was intruding, because it's like visiting someone's neighborhood. We stayed for about 20 minutes to see the bookstore, temple, and peacocks.

Come see another "world". Site is classical asian teaching facility for monks, male and female followers of the Dali Lama. The resturant on site is small, has wonderfully prepared vegetarian food. However, be early, at 11:30 for easiest seating. Wait staff helpful explaining food items.

This wasn't the best vegetarian food I ever had, as it was somewhat on the bland side. The food was well prepared and used fresh ingredients (I think it's the first time in a very long time I have had fresh bamboo shoots). The real treat is the setting, which is a Buddhist school and monastic living environment. The setting... More

I enjoyed visiting the temple, walking the grounds and eating at the restaurant. The museum is also very interesting.

The Temple is so so big; and Ten Thousand Buddhas are on the walls. Four beautiful and very big Kuan Yin statues carved from wood. The small restaurant behind the temple had excellent food; and large protions. Beautiful people are here

Love this restaurant and the surrounding grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. Peacocks wander about and if you're lucky you can see a pure white peacock. The temple is lovely. Reminds one of being in China.

Wonderful place! Excellent food. Don't forget to stop by the building on your left when you are coming in from the main entrance. Go inside and pays respects to the statues of the Founder. If it weren't because of him (he had been enlightened, he was able to cleanse and give blessing to the whole area), otherwise the place where... More
