Well groomed and empty at the end of the season on Easter Sunday. No lift queues at all. Very scenic. Limited green terrain for novices though. Food offering is basic - burgers to order were good though. $363 for 2 adults and 3 kids for a few hours of slush was too much though - Alpine, reduce your charges at... More

it's a friendly resort - I skied with new friends, locals and Aussies, Scots and Irish tourists. We're already planning a reunion next year

I have been skiing the Lake Tahoe region for over 50 years. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley have always been two of my favorites mountains for different reasons. While they virtually sit side by side, the terrain and character of the two are very much different. Squaw has always been more of a skiers, no hold bars type of mountain.... More

Just returned from a fun ski adventure at Alpine Meadows in Tahoe City California. Beautiful mountain, lots of snow and runs for all interestes and abilities. The lodge is large, lots of tables for lunch inside and out. A great fire outside on the deck with adirondack chairs around it. Beautiful views of the mountains, lifts, and skiiers. The hours... This is a nice ski resort linked with Squaw Valley and on the same ski pass. Good for a day and in need of better quality lifts although there were never any queues.

The mountain was majestic. Great runs, groomed well & weather for our time of year WARM, but still a great place to visit. Food & band they had on Saturday were great. Prices FAIR on all things. Wish signing for runs a little better, but I guess it's part of adventure. Would choose this place #1...been to Heavenly in past... More

Squaw and Alpine have combined to offer skiing at both locations with one ticket, and a free bus (every half hour) to take you between the two locations - great value. Alpine has great grooming - Squaw does not.

Gentle slopes, plenty of free parking. We skied on a sunny day and had hot dogs and beer midday at the top of one of the runs. They had an outdoor grill going and everybody took a break when they smelled those grilled dogs and sausages. A shuttle tractor gathers up everybody walking from the parking lot and picks you... Not as crowded as Squaw, great variation in available terrain. The views of Lake Tahoe are superb, and it is far more intimate than Squaw.

We had a wonderful stay - we stayed at a beautifully remodeled condo seconds from the slopes - we walked to the base and took the shuttle back home. We really loved the ability to ski both Alpine and Squaw... but preferred the quiet atmosphere that our condo on Chalet had to offer. Alpine is a family oriented mountain with... More
