Although this mission is heavily restored, it is worth a visit. There are small rooms with artifacts from the original mission, and the signage provides a good understanding of the original design and purpose of this site. The interior of the church is beautiful as are the gardens.

While the mission itself is not one of the most impressive I have been to (it is small), the gardens and grounds are beautiful, well-maintained and very tranquil and serene. The San Ynez Mission as at the end of the main street of Solvang and easy to walk to and add to your visit. Cost to enter is $5.00. It's a quiet beautiful Mission to explore.

The church itself is beautiful and so is the artwork inside of it. There is also a small museum with an "audio" tour. There is a small fee - $5 per person (kids under 12 are free.) The garden area is very beautiful and peaceful.

This is a working mission so the grounds have been upgraded and the place does not feel a couple hundred years old. The views are glorious. Grab a cup of coffee and walk the grounds. So relaxing.
