From light to challenging. Beautiful vistas and wonderful Lake Ilsanjo in the morning where the mist over the lake meets the fog. Plenty of deer to see as well

A wonderful regional park tucked within the city limits of Santa Rosa...who knew? One feels like they have escaped into nature while actually not far from home when they visit Annadel.
Amazing big park right in the middle of Santa Rosa. Outstanding trails, lakes and Marshes. Superb for Mountain biking, hicking or just a quick walk with the family. Outstanding views from up high, It's worth the hike way up! Also amazing quanity of wildlife, deer, turkeys, etc.
We hiked in from a secluded residential area. There were lots of mountain bikers on the trail but everyone was friendly and polite. The terrain is steep but there is a nice variety of mountain views, valleys, and meadows to hike through. The only bad things is that there was poison oak everywhere. You really need to stay on the...

I have hiked all the trails in Annadel and I frequently return. What is really awsome is to start on the Hwy 12 side (past Oakmont) and exit in Bennett Valley. Annadel offers a great place to hike, for all levels of hikers. Take an enjoyable stroll around Spring Lake, Lake Ralphine, or Lake Ilsanjo. And, it is right at the edge of Santa Rosa City, so you do not have to drive far for this nature fix.
I hiked with a family group of 6 people, from the horse parking lot up Richardson trail to the lake. This park has wonderful scenery of rolling grassy hills, wildflowers, and oak woodland. There's a fun rope swing at the lake, along with a picnic table. Lots of bikers on the trail, and they were all polite to us hikers....

awesome hiking, biking trails. Lots of oaks. Well used by locals, but you don't feel run over by people.
This is a wonderful, beautiful park in Santa Rosa. No matter what time of the year you visit, it is great. It is spring now, so you'll see beautiful wildflowers and there is always wild life to be seen, if you are quiet! Enjoy and pray that they never close this park to the public.
You know everyone in Sonoma County who visits Annadel probably thinks of it as their own park. Exceptionally beautiful hills and oaks and other flora and fauna. And the Trails! Much loved!
