A wonderful place to go for a nice long walk, around the lake and through the woods. Many places to sit and look out. Places for the kids to play. I keep going back.
I've been here quite a few times and I enjoy walking around the lake. It is quite a long walk so you can If I remember rightlyyou have a choose between two parking lots to choose from. One close;one far. The lake is very pretty and there are ducks on it;at least when I was there. I would like to... More
I walk around the lake every week. It's nice to have a lake in the middle of the city. Everyone uses Spring Lake Park: families have picnics, walkers with/without dogs, people on bikes. There's a swimming lagoon open in the summer and a new cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (It's now closed until next summer.)
Summertime is the best, but year round this place is pretty! It is a great place to walk or run around, take your kids or a dog, and it even has specific spots to do your own paced exercise course (like pull-up bars, etc.) You do forget that you are in the city. There are many trails to choose from or... More
The perfect place to enjoy an outing with the family. Wonderful little trails to walk on. The vistas are serene and peaceful. It has always been a safe place where I feel comfortable walking. You can bring your dog on leash, just fabulous.
It's in the city but you certainly don't feel like it. It's a big lake, lots of trees, got a side swimming area, boats to rent, refreshement stands and trails all the way around the lake for walking. It was a warm day when I was there but it's a great place that is used by locals to take walks.
We like that it is close to home, pretty and interesting. This was the first place we practiced launching our little 12' sailboat. Fabulous!
We took our grandsons to visit the reptile and salt water fish preserve located above the lake. A hands on aquarium kept the kids interested for an hour!
We went camping here and chose space #29..it has lots of natural shade thanks to a beautiful oak tree. It also has lots of rocks, which at first we thought were great for the kids to play and climb on until we realized that the numerous skunks and squirrels live underneath and make their presence known at all times of... Went camping here for two nights and stayed at the family campground. While not a large park, it is packed with many interesting things to do. With it's close proximity on the outskirts of Santa Rosa, it's also very convenient. My first impression of the park was the campground. Nice campsites with lots of shade and well spaced. The campsites... More
