If you have a family, this is a GREAT destination. Howarth City Park (free parking) backs into Spring Lake Park which backs into Annadel State Park. Tons to do for all ages, pretty scenery, all linked by paths (paved to off-road hiking and biking).

Trails are nice but I'm sad to say they have not kept up the swimming area. Last time we visited it was a goose pooped mud hole. My kids used to love to swim there with inner tubes now I would steer clear!

I love our local parks. We have many hiking trails, picnic spots and lakes to observe bird life and do some fishing. We all need to support our local parks and pay our fees when we use them. I am so happy to support the park system.
