I shouldn't tell how much I love this beach because then your all going to come and it's crowded enough on a hot day! What I love about this beach is it is dog friendly, a couple of really good restaurants just steps away , public bathrooms, entertaining with beach volley ball and sailboats sailing by! Because of the harbor... More

we stayed in a VRBO just 2 blocks from this beach recently. spent as much time as possible in the sand w. our granddaughter. what a great place. at night people had big fires (it was still cold) and we could watch the cormorants building their nests in the eucalyptus trees nearby. on wednesdays people come out of the harbor... gorgeous but the water is cold and the waves can get rough. Watch the kiddies. Plenty of room to enjoy beach activities, sun bath, eat, see interesting people. Sant Cruz is the original laid back city. parking is a little tight. Good boat rental and excursions from the harbor. Nice area for walking.

A trip to Santa Cruz Beach is a treat any time of the year. You don't see or hear any of the hustle and bustle of the Silicon Valley. The air is fresh, the sounds of the surf worth the drive over the mountain to get there.

I don't play volleyball, I don't sail, I don't swim, I don't surf, and I don't fish. These are all things you can do at Harbor Beach. Yet I'm there almost every day, and I love the place. Because I love to hang out, and there's no better place to do it. Frankly, it's got the only coffee house around... More

Santa Cruz Harbor Beach is on one side of the exit to the harbor at Santa Cruz....it collects dead fish, marine oil and other smelly stuff deposited by the waves. It also collects tourists who don't know where else to go...It is close to a couple of decent restaurants; inside of which you can see the same view without actually... More

I've just moved to Santa Cruz and the beaches here are fantastic. There is so much to do and see. I have now been here two weeks and feel like I haven't even scratched the surface Come visit!

Perfect Balance The Santa Cruz Harbor is one of my favorite places because it's the perfect balance of activity and quiet. It's a calmer alternative to the Boardwalk, but more lively than the hidden beaches. Chill out on the beach, or walk the 2-mile path around the marina (you can take a shortcut over the road) for a mild adventure... More

We enjoyed our sail boat ride from here and then a delicious meal at the Crows nest restaurant near the pier.
