While this theatre has some terrific attractions, headliners and movies, the equipment, the building, the air heating and cooling and grounds are in desperate need of an overhaul. I have been on multiple occasions over the years when there were issues with the cameras (visual and sound). The chairs are hugely uncomfortable and the grounds are so outdated it's ridiculous.... Kudos, once again, to Santa Barbara for restoring a beautiful old theatre. You'll find the beautiful and unique "Arlington" on Upper State Street. Look for live theatre or movies there.

This is one of the most amazing theaters in the world! it is worth going to an event here just to enjoy the building. If you ever get a chance to go and hear the organ being played, do it!!! I can't say enough good things about this amazing place! Santa Barbarians should be proud to have restored this place... More

I've seen movies and performances of many types here. It's a great place, but it is not the best for sound quality or visibility. Movie quality is just okay and it does not have stadium seating. However, I'd still recommend it without hesitation for a concert/performance or for seeing a movie during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Preserving the old character. Feels like you are sitting outside when you are in this historic building. GREAT standup by Jerry Seinfeld! Highly recommend that.

If you get the chance to see a movie at Santa Barbara's Arlington Theater, do so. It's one of those beautiful old theaters that has kept so much of it's charm and character. We went to a movie there for the first time last weekend and fell in love with it. It's absolutely HUGE so definitely the place to go... More

Enjoyed an event for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival here. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was fun with facades of a Spanish village and starry sky. I visited this theater many years ago to see the movie "Field of Dreams" and remembered how magical it felt to watch a movie in this beautiful theater.

Old time movie palace with a Spanish Village motif inside. Saw the Hobbit here and the picture and sound were great. The seats need some work, but the venue is so fun, old world we really have no complaints.
