The park has excellent views of the sea and mountains. Parking is available at several points. Stick to the paths on the western side if you don't want a hard hike through the thickets!

We live half a mile from Elings and I run there two to three times a week. It has lots of "active" recreational opportunities (like soccer fields, baseball diamonds, etc) and lots of "passive" opportunities too (like great views, moderate hiking, dog walking, etc). Its a great winter time hiking spot. We don't have too much time after work and before the sun goes down in the winter. This is a goto for after work quick sweat:) Easy access to trails and super dog friendly. AWESOME VIEWS AT THE TOP.

Great public park with views onto Santa Barbara and public soccer and baseball playing fields and a motorcross park. There's also a small colloseum for performances which is surely a nice place in the summer. I don't remember seeing it but I guess there are also public bbq places. Further, there's a nice walk commemorating local US army soldiers involvement...
