Nestled in the foothills amid trees and local flora. Lovely architecture, very good displays showing the life experiences of local Indians as they we being "converted" by well-meaning missionaries. Definitely worth visiting this piece of California history.

The Mission Santa Barbara is a bit tired but the grounds are beautiful and the old cemetery may be worth the price of admission.

The Mission is impressive not only for its preservation of the historical mission, but also for continuing as a functioning mission and conference center.

if your in Santa barbara you don't want to miss it. there is also a rose garden situated right across the street that is a beautiful spot for a picnic or just relaxing in the sun...

Architecture OK but explanatory materials were a bit skimpy. Quite a sanitized view of the impact of Spanish conquerors on the Native American population.

Beautiful inner courtyard, lots of historical information.
