Many artifacts. Great guide. Interesting history. A very vibrant place, being used to the max! Variety of gifts and souvenirs. Wish gift shop were open more.
We visited this site with our fourth grader kid on a Sunday morning. Place was busy with two masses in progress. Kid was impressed and very excited during the visit. the mission is located on a beautiful Mission street with a lot of other attractions to see. Overall a nice experience.
Calm and relaxing place for reflection. A place wer i can have a silent time to give thanks to jesus.
Perhaps it was just that he was already tired from earlier activities but the three year old really didn't do well here. Nice mission, in the heart of San Rafael... We had lunch then made a quick walk-thru... Nice mission in a great state of upkeep!

This mission will be celebrating it's 150 anniversary in 2013. It is small, and something about it - makes it historically special and sweet. To attend Mass in the mission, is special too. To attend Mass at the main church is beautiful, but the quaintness of the mission is so nice.
visited here many years ago with a group of seniors. There is a lot to see in the small area. Staff is personable but being that the museum is also in the gift shop, there is the tourist factor.
Mission that no one who loves visiting/seeing missions should miss! Have had many friends wed here, many friends celebrated here and attended many wonderful Christmas masses here! Go!
The old mission still exists next to the much larger newer church. Both have a unique feel, and smell of decades of incense. The dark interiors add to the sense of history, and the little store is the place to pick up saint's cards and religious doo-dads to remind you of your visit.
