Very well preserved old adobe home. Nice gardens. Docent informal tour was very interesting. Well worth seeking out. More

The Dallidet adobe is really a must-see in San Luis. The gardens are lovely, even in winter, beautifully tended by volunteers. The house is a fascinating glimpse into the past and a leading Central Coast family's history. We were given a tour of the house (including the cellar with wonderful old tools!) by a marvelous docent who shared his knowledge... More

I recently visited the Dallidet Gardens and Adobe. I was so impressed with the docents working in the adobe, they were both informed and enthusiastic. From what I understand they hold weddings in the gardens. I image a wedding there would be amazing as the grounds are so lush. A really wonderful gem in the heart of SLO. More

Unfortunately this lovely sight is barely known amongst even locals, but it is a breathtaking acre of gardens right in the heart of downtown! It isn't open very often, so check the website before you go. I think fridays and sundays in the afternoon. The house is a historic adobe and the docents provide a good tour. They also throw... More
