Two floors of exhibits to keep you busy for a few hours. Would be a great place to take the kids for plenty of hands on activities.
I have been to the Tech Museum several times with grandchildren. The last time was to visit the Star Wars exhibit. Wonderful hands on and information displays were great. Have been to other special exhibits in the past that were also very well done. The movies in their 3D are spectacular. My grandchildren always enjoy themselves.
Good place to take the kids for an afternoon and lots of activities and things to see and do, will usually find yourself and other adults participating in many of the activities as well, overall was worth the time and the kids had a good time. Would mostly suggest for children under about 15 as they will find it more... More
I visited the Tech with a group from work and wasn't expecting to enjoy it. I ended up enjoying it. The clump of silicon was a treat. I don't know what I thought it would look like, but that wasn't it! This would be of interest to teens and older, especially those who use technology daily (and who doesn't?)
The Tech is a MUST-SEE when visiting San Jose. It's a great place for families of all ages. The exhibits are wonderful and hands-on. The IMAX always has great family oriented movies available. Don't miss it!
The Tech Museum of Innovation is a wonderful, fun and interesting place to spend several hours with or without children. That said, children are challenged to use their imaginations at stations throughout the facility. They can create, imagine and learn while having fun. There are exhibits that explain how energy is created, ones that explain how we can save water... More
The museum was a really fun and positive way to get kids to learn all about engineering and science. However, when I went there, they had a lot of construction going on and he exhibits were either closed or not working properly. I really enjoyed being there, though, and I hope to go back there for a slightly better experience.
We were members here when it first opened and then our daughter was a student volunteer. Be prepared for a noisy facility, but lots of interesting displays with knowledgeable volunteers to explain things. Also, a great gift shop that you can browse without going to the museum. This is not for small children. There is also an IMAX movie theater.
This is my first time going to the Tech Museum and, boy, was I disappointed. I came to see the Star Wars exhibit and they had great models of the X- wing fighter, Millennium Falcon, various character's costumes, and other tidbits of the movie. Lots of interactive activities for the kids like the magnetized race cars but what was there... More
We went for the Star Wars exhibit (which was fabulous) and stayed for the museum since our son is a science nut. There was tons of hands-on activities, including a build-you-own robot and magnetized race cars, that could easily keep you busy for much of the day. We also enjoyed an IMAX film while we were there (skip the underwater... More
