My kids have grown up with the animals here. My eldest daughter cried when the hippo died. My baby girl can sit and watch the monkeys for hours. My boys love how you can get up close and personal with the big cats.

When is not fun going to a zoo. The zoo was fun. Sign up for the tours. They are worth it. Going in spring is best when weather is reasonable.

Land Park is so beautiful... One would expect that the Zoo would hold to the same standards. - We have visited this zoo 3 times, each time hoping *this* visit would be better than the last. Not much to view, and cost (?)

While visiting family in Sacramento, we went to the Sacramento Zoo. It is a very nice zoo and extremely clean. It features a lot of different animals that were fun to watch. We love the zoo. Don't go there too often of course, but when friends and family come to town with their little kids in tow... we can always go to the Sacramento Zoo for a fun filled day of adventure.
