RMM does an excellent job of showcasing local artists in rotating exhibits throughout the year. They also have a more formal gallery that shows their other collections, such as Plein Air artists of last century. Went for special exhibit on contemporary Native women artists, stayed two hours. Military artifacts, history of citrus agricultural, live animals and natural history museum. By donation. Also, tiny but fantastic gift shop where we purchased art by one of the exhibitors. Docents very helpful.worth going to Riverside just for it. Just be careful with outside construction/scaffolding. This museum is located on Mission Ave in Riverside. It has lots of displays, from specimens of wildlife common to the area, various cultural displays of early Californians, and is a real educational place for all ages.
